Anybody difference between Himedia Q1- pro & Xtreamer eXpress
Very different HW / SOC but very good looking, sturdy and well cooled boxes both. Q 10 Pro has the front panel and display as an extra and eXpress has USB-3c and HDMI-IN for those who appreciate that. Anxious to lay my hands on one of those; delayed, delayed and more delayed but will come for sure finally. Should be moved into the "other media players" section not here.

The strange "quirk" with FLAC 7.1 audio is persisting in new firmware.  This has been noted previously in this forum:
* It passes FLAC 7.1 as stereo PCM when there is only one audio track.
* With two audio tracks it still passes correctly as 7.1 PCM.
I kept my 7.1 test files from the previous sessions used to confirm the quirk (one with 7.1 TrueHD, one with FLAC 7.1 and the 3rd with both 7.1 tracks).
Worse the music player (now indeed working with a mouse) also still switches between PCM and RAW HDMI output depending on the source being SQ audio or HQ audio.

Somebody reported double reporting devices. It in fact is worse using 5 HDD's attached got 15 being reported hence triple reporting. This is a very serious flaw.

Said before...better work out the bugs on the previous firmware and use it...

Its like XP going Vista or Win7 going to 8.

The only big issue for me is the memory leak I encounter on Lollipop. I keep my box on all the time for seeding torrents and it is quite visible after a while. Other than that, previous firmware was quite good. This double/triple reporting for devices is also quite bad, although I managed to get past it.

The multiple mount point location for storage will be fixed. HiMedia are aware of it. It's more an annoyance than anything. Drives are mounted at /mnt/media_rw/ so use that location in apps and all will be OK.

I suppose there is a new wrapper after the upgrade.
Now I'm using the altered one to get the IPTV stream by default to the internal Kodi player, HiMedia can't play those.

Does this same altered playercorefactory.xml file works after the upgrade?

I think it will. Kodi and wrapper app name haven't changed.

Installed. :)

Everything went fine.
I was on CS 1.08 firmware and, as suggested, i've installed first the official 1.08 firm and then the others.

As reported bluetooth switch itself on, every reboot.

Same old bug with discolored subtitle if you use yellow (my favourite). :(

With EZ pro (file explorer) I can't find the internal HDD. I found sda2 but it results empty (which is not).

I haven't tested yet if there is the old bug about resolution switch itself to 1080i (from 2160P) after reboot.

Testing...

Hello!

Is DVD auto switch from 25 to 50 and 30 to 60 fps still not working?!

Did someone test this yet?

Thanks!

Will future upgrades work OTA again if you did this one manually, so default without loosing all info etc.

One other thing I noticed is that the on-screen keyboard is still present when the physical keyboard is connected (even though in settings the on-screen keyboard is disabled when the physical keyboard is connected). If anyone has a solution for it, please tell me. I cannot use the arrow keys or ENTER key when I am typing.
