appmanager force close on new firmware HMD-1.0.8
« on: October 25, 2016, 12:45:54 PM »
I've updated to the latest firmware (Q10 PRO FIRMWARE. 1.0.8-FUTEKO-EN. HMD-1.0.8 2016-10-12.193826 )

Everything installed fine using the upgrade button.  After the homepage came back up I can't get into appmanager.

I click on appmanager and it immediately closes.  Rebooted and still force closes appmanager.

I went to reload same firmware again (using upgrade button) I can see the USB drive with the update.zip file on the USB but when I try
to reload the firmware it wont read the USB.  I get the android man on screen (without status bar below) for about 30 sec
then to the himedia screen for about 3 minutes and then back to the home page where appmanager force closes everytime I try to open it.

When I put the USB back in my laptop to reformat it my USB is no longer readable on the laptop I initially put the update.zip file on.
It can be read on another laptop so idk what is going on.  This is the second USB drive that has done this so I am sure it is not 2 bad USB drives

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you get to Android droid when attempting a firmware update but you don't get a status bar then it means the update file has not been recognised.

When you updated originally to 1.0.8 how did you do it? By USB drive?

It sounds like the first update maybe didn't actually install and instead you did a factory reset (which would happen if USB update file wasn't recognised) which has messed up some pre-installed apps (including the launcher - hence the errors you're getting).

The only solution is to do a full clean install using a USB drive and upgrade button on back. As here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1303.0

USB drive needs to be FAT32 formatted. USB drive should contain one file 'update.zip', which you'll find inside our firmware download zip. Follow the instructions in the linked thread precisely.
