Several bug reports.
« on: October 16, 2016, 08:20:38 AM »
Hello!

These bugs/anomalies have been reported by a member on another (Country-> local) forum and I've been asked to translate and forward it here:

1. NTSC DVD (29.976 Fps 3:2 pulldown 720x480): Stuttering in video and the sound is out of sync.

2. Other (non DVD) 29.976 fps videos: Video Stuttering

3. PQ Quality problems (jagged edges due bad deinterlace) in all PAL and NTSC DVD playback (Reported here all ready by a plenty of us, tho' seams it is still a "marginal" bug in Futeko PoV, if not so please respond respectively.)

4. HD camcorder AVCHD (some PS3 format) structure (.M2TS -> .MTS BDMV -> .BDM): playback stops with error messege.

- A ticial structure that won't work:
AUXDATA\
BACKUP\
BDJO\
CLIPINF\
JAR\
META\
PLAYLIST\
STREAM\   00000.MTS
                     00001.MTS
                     00002.MTS
                     00003.MTS
                     00004.MTS
                     INDEX.BDM
                    MOVIEOBJ.BDM

6. When BD structure contains (and the entire movie stands from) many smaller .m2ts files, than while the player shifts to the next one in line, the playback stops for a couple of seconds.

7. When changing the "User Derfinied" values in Imprex and during this time, changing the mode to either "Sport" or "Standard" (Left or Right), after changing back to "User Definied" mode again, the previously setted parameters are gone and reverted to default.

8. Sometimes, after reboot, the Imprex "User Definied" settings forgets its changed values and reverts back them to default. Tho' it doesn't happen all the time, but no clue what is related to its occurance.

Thanks for any acknowledgement and reply!

The stuttering on native DVD formats (AUDIO_TS/VIDEO_TS) is really awful. It's a shame from mediaplayer in that price range to perform that poorly.

Since most of what I watch is this format... I went back to another brand with older and much less powerfull hardware in the living room.

Please FIX.

The DVD ISO problems have been fed back to HiMedia. They are aware of them and I expect them to be improved.

The auto-framerate patch should improve most ISO stuttering problems. See here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1043.0
