You read the topic about USB connected DVD/BD players/writers?
http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1111.0
Try a disc with data files like AVI/MKV first.

a) Two models are verified to be detected and play content . CD's were not tried just video files and DVD/BD unprotected media.
b) Only the Media Player file manager will show the files. The device itself does not show up.

That's bad, I admit that the main reason for buying was played Audio CD  :(.

But it finds and plays data files like MKV???

I recommend converting of your favorite CD's to FLAC files. This is absolutely lossless and these do play on Q10 Pro identically. You may even put them back on CD's, DVD's or even BD's using your ASUS writer.

Playing CD Audio files is not that easy as it has a dedicated format (no file system), in fact the player does it autonomously provided it has a DAC an audio out. The only other method is digital  extraction of the audio which requires a special program.
