You might not get many replies because I don't think there will be many Q5/Q10 Pro users using Hebrew subs. If you post a link to a sample .srt I will have a look.

Info about setting external player in Android Kodi here: http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Use_external_players_on_Android

The black screen problem sounds like a HDMI cable problem. Try a different cable (the one supplied in box is good) and if you're using a long cable try a shorter one.

if you have the same problem as with Arabic subtitles,
overlapping letters.
you can not solve the problem with HiMedia player.
you have to use mx player.
you can use dual subtitle with mx player.

It is referring to writing Right ==> Left instead from Left ==> Right as needed I presume.

I will pass this on as a bug.

For clarity, Hebrew should be right to left but it is displayed left to right?

yes
the sentence in hebrew ".??? ?? ???? ???? ????" is shown as
"???? ???? ???? ?? ???."
and for example in english
the sentence  "i need to fix " is shown as ".xi? o? b??n i"
and that the problem in hebrew its like the sentence is mirrored and reversed.
you can get the correct form of hebrew in mx player.
Thanks
