New Q10 Pro owner with a few questions

Hey guys

Just got my Q10 Pro yesterday. I am finally, FINALLY getting rid of my previous Xtreamer Prodigy 4K...
I can't believe the difference in performance between the 2 boxes... It's like moving from a NES to a PS4...

Anyway, I am quite familiar with using Android boxes and I tried to browse the different topics already opened here, which by the way were super helpful. Glad to see that the community here is active. Again quite the difference with Xtreamer...

The questions I have are just to try and get some advice from those who have been using the Q10 for some time.

1- I will be using Kodi of course for viewing movies/TV shows. I have successfully activated and tested the wrapper. Aside from this, do you have any recommendations regarding Kodi? Any add-on I should get to fully benefit from it on the Q10 ?

2- Using the wrapper is fine so far, however the "menu" list you get when watching a movie, for example when you want to download subtitles for it, doesn't look as nice as the standard Kodi one. This isn't a big issue but it did make it tough to find subtitles as the Font wasn't very clear and the actual subtitles files were truncated, so I had to pretty much guess which files to select. I couldn't see the ratings for the files as well. Is this something that can be fixed ? Otherwise I will have to manually download the subtitles from subscene and place them in the movie folder I guess...

3- I checked out the thread on the custom firmware. What are the main differences between the Futeko vanilla firmware and that custom firmware? Is it only a different GUI? Anything useful for a regular user of the box? Like I wrote before, I would like the input from people who have already used the box for a while to get their personal experience... I don't mean to have people repeat what is already written in the dedicated topic for custom firmwares...

4- What is the best tool/app to quickly transfer files/movies from my laptop to the box? I have been using Airdroid so far and I am happy to report that transfer speed is much much faster than what I was getting with the Xtreamer, even though I didn't change anything in my current setup (Asus AC68 router, D-Link AC-1900 adapter).
But I am just wondering if there is something better that you might recommend for the Q10.

5- Which airmouse do you recommend? I already took a look at the compatible peripherals but what is the one you personally recommend for the Q10?

That's all I guess so far! Will have much more time to play with the box tonight...

1. It works well with default Kodi settings. You might want to install a different skin but it's personal preference so I suggest trying a few.

2. The subtitle download feature is new in most recent firmware (it's only a few weeks old). It is being developed and will get better. Thanks for the feedback.

3. The custom firmware has a better interface and some updated/removed/added apps. If you're only going to install one firmware the custom one is best.

4. Connect the box direct to the PC using a USB A to B cable. From FAQ:* Access attached storage on PC via USB cable? Any storage device attached to Q10 Pro (including internal SATA) will appear as a USB drive when Q10 Pro is attached to PC by USB type B to USB type A cable (like a typical USB printer cable).

Install an FTP server app on Q10 Pro. This will allow you to access the Q10 Pro via FTP on the PC and will give faster transfer rates than by using Samba networking.
