1. In HiMedia settings (Home - Settings - Playback) - HDMI Output: Close, SPDIF Output: RAW, HBR Output: RAW5.1. Those settings apply to himediaplayer (media center) and wrapper in Kodi.
In Kodi without wrapper: Change settings level to Advanced then Settings - SYSTEM - Audio output - Number of channels: 5.1, Enable passthrough, AC3 capable receiver, DTS capable receiver.
2. With settings as above this may now work.
3. Kodi setting make no difference if you have wrapper installed. It's main system settings that matter for wrapper.
4. If you can post a sample srt I can test and try figure it out. One of the options under Sub settings - sub encode should work for Turkish.
Thank you for the answer.
My settings are exactly what you advised. Anyway I gave up on SPDIF output, and decided to use a 4K HDMI splitter. So I connect the player via HDMI to TV for 4K resolution, and via HDMI to AVR for HD sounds.
My settings in playback settings, HDMI (RAW), SPDIF (Closed), HBR (RAW 5.1). When I use the media center, I can have surround sound on AVR but no Dolby Digital or DTS marks still. I tried this with connecting to AVR wtihout any splitter directly but same result.
I'm sure my AVR supports DD, DD True, TrueHD, DTS and DTS-HD.
On the other hand, I can't view any subtitles on the media center player doesn't matter forced or srt.
When I the 7 button on the remote, which says "subtitle" on the bottom left it does nothing.
