Do I need to turn on the "24p mode" in the the player menu for automatic framrate switching? I have tried some 23.976fps video without the "24p mode" and it won't switch the framerate automaticly, and stays as it is on the deskstop. And if i turn on the "24p mode" won't the other fps videos, like 50fps or 29fps etc, played also in 24p?

Also: do I need to turn on "HDMI auto adaption" for this?

Thanks!

My experiences with the firmware 1.05:
Stutter is still the same.  :( Only in 3D it is okay.
After shutdown, the box does not retain the resolution settings. If I set to 2160p 60Hz and I shut down it and then after turn on, I always get 1080i 60Hz  :(
Autoswitch still does not work  :(

No need to turn on HDMI auto adaptation. That just adjusts output resolution / refresh rate to what the Q5/Q10 Pro thinks is the optimal. I would leave it off if you know what is the best resolution / refresh.

24p mode will only switch for 23.976 and 24fps content. With current firmware all other frame rates will be played at the system refresh rate. Full auto switching (i.e. adding 29.970 / 25 / 30 / 59.940 to correct output rates) will be added in future firmware or can be added now with this patch: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1043.0

Thank you!
I have also a question regarding the 23.967 contetnts: Turning on 24p mode means that also the 23.967 videos will play at 24fps (and not on 23.967), correct?!

Cause I have tried a few 23.976fps video (with 24p mode turned on)  and all of them was played at 24p, as shown on the screen with my TV-s "Info" button, which displays the current resolution and Hz... ???

Two possibilities.

1. Your TV will probably display '24p' when outputting in 23.976Hz. '24p' is often, confusingly, used as shorthand for 23.976.

2. With current firmware it appears that 23.976 is being output as 24.000Hz in some circumstances. This is in the process of being fixed by Himedia, along with implementing full auto framerate switching (so 25/30/29.97/59.94).

Since 1.05 I can't reproduce the HDD detection problem on the USB3 port anymore.
A complicating factor is that I changed my setup. Now using a 4-port docking instead of individual HDD Enclosures.

Anyway all drives in the Docking are now always detected also on the USB3 port.
If others can confirm this maybe that bug was solved (non reported fix)?
I was triggered by somebody who confirmed that USB-3 Slave detection was fixed with 1.05 FW. So moved my Docking Bay back to the USB3 Host port.

The date is wrong. 2016-07-07 was the firmware 1.05?  Why this date for 1.06, too?

It's a minor update to fix a couple of bugs. HiMedia decided to keep the build number the same but increase version number.

This is not the newest firmware for Q10 Pro.

As of today, 26th August 2016, I recommend you install latest 1.0.7: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1130.0

An updated list of firmwares for Q5 / Q10 Pro is here (for anyone reading this in the future..): http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=711.0

A reinstall using the upgrade button on the back will wipe user settings. We recommend this method. You can also update via the system menu but it might introduce bugs/problems. A clean reinstall is always best.
