Share problem with Q5
« on: April 02, 2015, 09:49:51 AM »
Hello,

I have a Q5 and 2 NAS ReadyNAS; I use Kodi to select the movies from my NAS.
On these days I had to change the set up of my old NAS otherwise was impossible to access at the shares.
The change has been done on the security mode switching from "Share" to User security mode.
This means that I have create a new user name and password to access at all my shares in the old NAS.
When I have done this I have now access from Windows to my NAS shares but I can't play anymore my movies from Kodi.
When I select any movie that is inside the old NAS I see on the top left the write "Himediawrapper" and in the center a wheel which continues to turn.
Can you please explain what I have to do in order to play again my movies using Kodi and Q5?

Thanks

The HiMedia video player is only compatible with anonymous shares, so you'll have to remove the username/password. This won't be the case if you use the Kodi internal player.
