DIVX licensed => XVID free (also for RTD1296)
Some may have the wish to play old DIVX (AVI) videos. These are not supported due the licenses involved with those. This is valid also for previous generations players as none support DIVX. You can bypass this limitation using this simple program:
https://www.tweaking4all.com/home-theatre/fourcc-changer/
Set it to change the DIVX header into a XVID header and all done. Available for MAC, Windows and Linux OS versions. Bulk conversions are supported.

But it does not make all AVI's play so there must be something else not being supported.
Suggested by others is also to use mpeg4modifier. It identifies some files as packed, tick the box to unpack and save.

Hi, I have just received my ZIDOO 1000 pro and am very pleased with it!
Please forgive this apparently inane question (as I’m nearly 80 yrs old so not as quick as I used to be)

I would like to be able to search my movie files in file manager list, is this possible as for the life of me
I can’t find anyway of doing it!

Paul

HT4 is meant to be used for that.

Myself use my PC connected to the SMB Server running on my Zidoo to do more complex filemanager operations like searching and collective renaming with Total Commander. You can also run an Android version of Total Commander on the Zidoo itself.

What protocol are you using on the NAS to share the movies?

What app on the Zidoo are you using to navigate? Zidoo Media Center (file manager) or Zidoo Home Theatre (Poster Wall)?

In Zidoo Home Theatre search is the search icon at top left of screen.

Zidoo Media Center does not have a search function. I would recommend adding the share location to Zidoo Home Theatre and using it for browsing media.

Is the Z10 still available anywhere??I need a replacement for my X10 with a bad HDMI input.

Or is there a replacement for the Z10 w/ a HDMI input?
