HDD detecting problem.

I am using internal hdd samsung 500gb when I turn on q10 hdd is not detecting but when i restart box everything is fine and hdd is mounted.  This situation happen every day. The sata conection is ok. Someone had this problem too?

What kind of drive is it? Basically what type and how many rpm is it? It could be that the drive is a bit slow spinning up. Have you tried waiting for a bit? I have had drives on my desktop PC that could take a few minutes before it could be seen by the PC because of the spin up time. The drive would not be available until the drive is fully spun up (is that even english ?? ;-) )

Hdd is 3.5'' type hd502hi. 5400 rpm. Maybe its too slow? thank you for advice. Sorry for my english.

Now i think it is something else. When I stop plyaing anything from the hdd. Hdd stop spining at all and disappear. I can't see the disc in FileManager until I reset the box....😕

It could be a faulty drive. If you are able to test it in a desktop computer you could run some S.M.A.R.T. diagnostic tools to see if it is the edge. I myself have a 7200rpm Seagate drive installed and haven't encountered this type of behaviour before. Not with the Q10 pro anyway.

Your Samsung HDD appears to be an older "green"/ "eco" drive with slow spin up introduced in 2009.
It could just take some time to get going or it could be a faulty drive.  Try some testing software in a PC as suggested. 
If you have another drive, see how it goes instead?

Apart from Native 4Kn (4K physical sector drives) all HDD's new, old, slow, fast, small and big should work just fine provided they are formatted correctly.

That Samsung indeed looks to be defect as disappearing is absolutely not normal unless a faulty cable is used.

Currently using a 10-slot HDD Icy Box Docking Station which also works fine with a whopping 10x HDD connected on a single USB3 port.
