I have a Panasonic HZW2004 OLED TV (2020 model). Does the Dune HD Max Vision 4k have problems with this TV because it does not recognize it?

Are these settings still valid or have they changed due to new FW ?
They still are but my personal preference:
- Auto resolution: Enabled
- Preferred HDMI color depth set to: As in content
I prefer my TV to do all the upscaling work. Does an excellent job at that.  ;)

They are also valid for all Vision models.

Hello. I also have the problem of black screen for 5 seconds (when fast-forwarding or next chapter) when playing UHD Bluray with menu, both ISO and BDMV. This problem does not occur on 1080p Blurays. I have tested with the Dune-HD connected via AVR Denon x2600h and connected directly to the LG77CX TV. I have the latest firmware installed, in whose changelog it says that this problem had been corrected, but in my case it is not like that (I repeat that only in UHD BD). The truth is that it is quite unpleasant and that problem does not occur when playing the same discs from a Zidoo. I am seriously considering returning the Dune (Pro Vision 4k). Kind regards and sorry for my bad English.

Tried to reproduce but for me it just works fine. Tried several UHD BD's.

But I am 1 FW ahead so it might be fixed with that upcoming FW?

Hi Nice Monkey. When you tried the UHD BD (Menu), did you have HDR Processing Mode in Auto? It is with the Auto mode, when there are problems when advancing or going back chapters and the screen remains black for several seconds, if for example it is configured in HDR Always, there is no problem, but I lose Dolby Vision. If it's not too much of a hassle, could you check it out? Thank you.

Tried LOTR with DV.

Skipping chapters playing with BD Full menu takes roughly 2 seconds. Is that a problem?
My patience grants for about 3 seconds so within that limit.   ;D

I have downloaded the alpha firmware (June 2021) and now it does pass the chapters correctly (1 or 2 seconds), with the previous firmware (April 2021) the advance of chapters was delayed by 5 or 6 seconds, in addition to loss of signal. So this issue is fixed. Thanks for everything.

My Dune Vision Pro with auto setting sets display to 4K@59Hz, even though JVC DLA-N7 is capable for 4K@60Hz too (some leaflet says though for this resolution: when the color space is RGB/YCbCr(4:4:4), only 8-bit input is supported.) The Dune HDMI Out is connected directly to the projector.

For some reason now that the Dune boots, it ends with a black screen and I have to press remote's ok to get to the main menu of the Dune. It might have something to do with the screen settings? The HDMI-cable is 2.1 capable.

As strange it may sound try it with the USB port disconnected.

The coming FW update has a fix here.

EDIT: I tried it without the USB-stick in, but it did not help. Dune boots into a black picture. I have to press ok on the remote to get to the main menu.

It depends on your display device and what you are trying to achieve, but generally yes.

My display device is LG OLED C9 and I try to achieve the best possible picture quality when watching  Dolby Vision and HDR films.

Is there any setting where I could passthrough the video signal to my projector? I mean without the Dune setting the contrast/brightness etc.?

Thanks for any info!

Apparently there is no such pass-through option for video. (?)

I've noticed that I have to often adjust brightness and contrast on the Dune - how is it with you other users? Have you found some settings that would work well for UHD-discs and .mkv-files or do you also adjust brightness and contrast case by case?

Are there other media players that would perform better in this sense? It would be ideal IMHO for the player to passthrough the video signal as originally intended and then the videoprojector should be able use the same settings all the time.
