Hi Media Q10 Pro: Dymamic subtitles are displayed twice

Hi Guys,
Recently I bought Himedia Q10 Pro. I have a problem with dynamic subtitles in 3D. Both external idx/sub and embedded are shown twice - once on the left side and once on the right side on the TV even after I switch to SBS to 3D mode (the video MKV file is SBS). The language does not matter. I inserted idx file into mkv file using mkvtoolnix but the result is the same. External srt subtitles are centered but I prefer dynamic. Please help.

How do you switch to 3d mode - via the blue button 3D or via the TV's menu?
Could you test also via KODI - I assume you've tested with Media Center's player

Hi,
I switch via menu>3d/2d>SBS to 3D on the HiMedia remote control. The TV switches on 3D automatically. And yes, I tested via Kodi as well and the result is the same.

could you test it using TV menu i.e. tell the TV that you see SBS and it to do the job - convert to 3D?

I have the older player 4K3D but will test it tommorow  and will post the result.

I did what you suggest and I made some pictures to illustrate the results.
When I switch on SBS to 3D on the HiMedia:
Picture 1 - External Bulgarian idx/sub subtitles remain SBS after the SBS is switched on;
Picture 2 - Embedded English subs remain SBS after the SBS is switched on;
So, It does not matter external or embedded subs, Bulgarian, English or whatever. There are around 10 different languages embedded in MKV and the result is the same.

Now what happens after I switch HiMedia to Origion mode and switch on SBS to 3D from TV:
Picture 3 - External Bulgarian idx/sub subtitles, displayed at the center but they are double;
Picture 4 - Embedded English subs again double;
Picture 5 - Embedded Chinese again double;
And Picture 6 - Screen is stretched, look at the buttons at the bottom, Play/Pause button even disappeared.

So, thanks once again but it seems not to be the right decision.

Hi,

I've tested on my Himedia 4K3D and here are the results and saw one interesting option in menu while playing the MKV file that could help you.

Press "Menu" button on your RC when playing and search for "Subtitle Options", then for "3D Subtitle Adjust" and then choose "Close" like the image I've provided https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzuGQg_LNWgMNGN4c1pXZW9yMkE then you wil see one subtitle when the player is in "SBS to 3D" mode.
If your settings are set to "Open" like this one https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzuGQg_LNWgMMkJldFZMM1JDYTQ you probably will see double subtitles like you have described at the beginning of your topic

Short description - while playing the file:
press "Menu" / "Subtitle Options" / "3D Subtitle Adjust" / "Close" - IDX/SUB Dynamic subtitles are shown once in 3D mode using "SBS to 3D"
press "Menu" / "Subtitle Options" / "3D Subtitle Adjust" / "Open" - IDX/SUB Dynamic subtitles are shown twice in 3D mode using "SBS to 3D"

Hi Airsoft,

Thank you very much for your time and support. Most probably this is the problem as I do not have such option in "Subtitle settings". See the picture on the link https://yadi.sk/d/r5IACV8DyWLwS. My software version is 1.0.8 - 2016.10.12 and I tried to update it OTA and it say "It is the latest software". Your version is quite older that's why I do not understand what is going on.
Obviously I need update or I do not know ... Guys please advice.

And I found out one more disadvantage related to dynamic subtitles. In fact they are not dynamic at all. Tested with 2 different 3D Blue Ray ISO files with embedded subtitles. They are centered but they are static. The same files I played with my previous multimedia player (5 years old model) and subtitles are displayed dynamic.
This is something that needs improvement as well.
