TVs / Projectors that support 720p 24Hz Mode

24p on Q5/Q10 pro doesn't currently work below 1080p resolution.

The point of the question was to provide HiMedia with a list of TVs supporting 720p 23.976hz, not many do.

1080p 23.976hz is much more common.

To be correct: switching doesn't work under 1080p. Microshuttering is problem with ALL (720p, 1080p, 4K) resolution with 23.976fps.
Furthermore not the TV but the player should support 720p 23.976 -> all the TVs out there are capable playing 720p 23.976 content if the player itself supports it.

Very few TVs support 720p 23.976. Far more common is 1080p 23.976.

I like the suggestion of Q5/Q10 Pro upscaling 720p 23.976 to 1080p 23.976 and have suggested it to HiMedia as a quick way to partially solve this problem. As noted below, this is how some other products work.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. My point is that we shouldn't care about what the most TV can or can't play. The player itself should solve the issue as almost all player in the market does the same.

And that suggestion is a very good one. I hope they implement it in the next firmware.

This is for Q5/Q10 Pro users with a 720p 24Hz capable TV / projector.

HiMedia have asked me to request log info.

The steps below are quite technical. You need to first install ADB, which is a way of communicating with Android devices from a PC in terminal mode. You can either install the full Android SDK or just ADB as here (Windows): http://www.stechguide.com/how-to-install-adb-and-fastboot-on-windows/

Then follow these instructions:

Play a 720p 23.976 video on the 720P 24hz TV.
 
Steps
1.adb to connect the box as below:
      adb connect box's IP
 
2.push hiplayer_avplay.sh as below:
        adb  remount
        adb push  hiplayer_avplay.sh /system/bin
 
3. use the box to play the video and then to get the log as below:
             adb logcat  > d:\log.txt
 
4. run the hiplayer_avplay.sh as below:
        adb shell
        ./system/bin/hiplayer_avplay.sh

Finally send us the file d:\log.txt  and all the contents of the cmd window
