Confirmed. Auto Switch does not work. And in a 1920x1080 23.976 fps movie, I have seen micro cuts.
Right now my Meder MED600X3D is far better playing.

For now I'm disappointed.

Me too... for me this Firmware is a BAD JOKE! The micro cuts problem is not solved and we have to wait weeks or month?!?  >:(

Don't forget to check static IP, when DHCP is disable, by default is not check.

Hmmh? You need to disable the DHCP mode / auto mode and the you can set it up by yourself.
Still not working. DNS section is passive, it is not possible to type anything.

O.k. I went back to my Q5 4K.
Everything is smooth, 24Hz playing, no stuttering, no mini freezes, nothing.
I am no beta tester.

Oh man....  >:(

the advanced settings that i was talking about are those in the main android settings ....

thanks salalee  ;)

as you said yesterday, it's work

i change my settings, hdmkv advises me YCbCr 4.2.0 10bit with my sony tv

Q10 pro
2160p60hz
1080p24 OFF
expressX engine V2 OFF
advanced option : SDR and YCbCr 4.2.0 10bit (or HDR10 if i watch demo 4k HDR)

Sony x93c
motionflow ON
reality creation ON

i have seen 4 or 5 micro stuttering/freeze in whole movies. but they are very discreet.

yup , the q10 pro is a new box and i believe it's just a matter of time for himedia to fix all known issues through upcoming updates , since they are all software based as far as i know...

Dear Magnifico and Pcristi,
I sorted DNS problem. Thank you very much for your help :)
The remaining bug now is not to be able to restart or standby with the remote control's buttons. And advise please; as long as I do not watch 4K videos (my movie archieve is 720p and 1080p) does it make a video quality difference if the video setting is 1080p 60Hz vs. 2016 60Hz? I set it to 1080/60 Hz and could be possible to set ...444 10bits (probably  better than  ...420 10 bit, I am not sure). For 720/1080p archieve, do you think 1080p 60Hz and ...444 10 bit will be the best?

I actually have got LG 4K TV which supports 4K/60HZ and 10 bit, but I don't have 4k content, only several short sample videos like 2-3 minutes. I have 3 TB of 720/1080p movies. There are 3 types of 10 bit selection (including RGB 10 bit)  and I wonder which 10 bit will be the best selection. This is the first time I own an android TV box so I am trying to learn the things. Whenever I watch 4K videos, I am planning to switch 2160p/60 Hz

Totally agree....

my Q10Pro just went from his standby position in the rack back into his box where it can rot until the frame switch issue has been fixed.

as compared to many users and regarding video stutter : i have a Samsung js9000 4k TV and sometimes i take it to the extreme with the motion rate option ; custom : blur reduction at 10 and judder reduction at 6 or even 7 (the so called soap opera effect).... and with such undesirable settings , every android box , including the shield would suffer noticeable stutter on 1080p video file...  except for the Q10 pro. (unless of course the frame rate is switched to 24hz which usually results in stutter free playback on most of the android boxes) ,.....
the Q10 pro is giving me super smooth playback and that is simply amazing.
many might disagree , but that is what i'm experiencing which is enough to draw a smile on my face. thanks

I see mostly very positive  PQ comments coming from 4K TV owners but people still owning a 1080P TV only see an average PQ. I am one of those.
It seems the box is really tuned for 4K (HDR) TV owners. Not necessarily a bad thing but something to be aware of.

Regarding fixing bugs Dune with the Dune 4K Solo seems to be moving ahead faster. Most bugs on the initial firmware were already polished.

Exactly my point: Playing standard BD SDR material on a 4K TV seems to be very good, but far less regarding PQ on a 1080P TV. Not talking about stuttering as I play at 24P and that works just fine for me. My old Xtreamer Prodigy media player and my Pioneer BDP- LX55 Blu-Ray Player both produce superior PQ using the same source on the same TV. PQ is defined as detail, contrast, brilliance, sharpness (playback is smooth on all 3 that is not the differentiator here). As source I use DVD or BD 1:1 copies in ISO format mainly (not MKV or AVI).

You tried connecting it to a 1080P TV? Would be interesting to hear your experience doing so.
