Since updating wrapper Picture ghosting
« on: May 15, 2016, 06:11:26 PM »
Has anyone else had this problem?

I have uninstalled the new wrapper and gone back to the original but im still getting ghosting on what ever I play.

If I play media directly into smart tv via usb then its ok.  My RPi3 also plays nicely.  Just the Q10 Pro has the ghosting issue.  Its basically when things move around you can see a very faint ghost image left for a split second.

Yep noticed this also with 1080P content. Moving head causes ghost image around the head.

Haven't tested yet with Imprex Engine disabled. Waiting for new firmware.

2160p seems to work ok, but haven't tested 2160p with dim lit scenes.

Gonna test some 2160P content later tonight.

Perhaps due to overprocessing of  the Imprex Engine?

Switched to 2160P 24 hz display out put and 8 bit 4.4.4 colousrpace.

No more ghosting and awesome PQ with blurays etc.

Smooth as butter... no microstutter present.

Very pleased.

Hope to see the HDr f/w this week so I can test those 4Kseries with HDR.

I finally got rid of my ghosting last night.

What is really concerning me is that I did not actually find the reason.  I will try explain.

I confirmed it was not my tv at fault by watching content from sky, RPi3 and direct content played via usb by the tv renderer.  All fine

I went through every option of the Q10 trying everything.  Nothing worked.  I even changed Imprex engine settings with no effect.

Last night I disabled Imprex engine again.  This time however when I was testing content I was loading via the actual Q10 player and not via kodi. (yes I know kodi just launches the q10 media player). The picture was perfect.  I then switched Imprex engine back on to confirm.  Was still perfect.

I am completely baffled.  The only thing I can think of is there was a setting somewhere that caused the Imprex to screw up and only managed to clear it when I had nothing else but the media player task running alone.
