Just changed to Custom firmware Lite 2.1.7 finding it excellent better for me than the fuller version which I have used in the past. Is it recommended to update Kodi to the newer version 19 from pcristi's  mediafire kodi folder?

NOOOOO! ! ! Please don't update to version 19.0 or 19.1. I did experience many incompatibilities, and I think many forum members will have same experiences.
I still do have Kodi 18.9, which works fine with Pcristi's firmware.

Using the Wrapper for playback, I have a stretched image (elongated figures) in the main HiMedia player with no black bands on the top and bottom and I can't change that. This happens with some files, most notably X265. It's OK for Kodi and MX Player. Any advice? Pcristi firmware 2.1.4.

I see you solved the "Global subtitle position" bug, but how did you? Reverted the HiMedia Player back to an earlier (pre 2.1.4, I guess) version? As far as I know, this bug is related only the HiMedia player app on the more recent OFW's.

Thanks to HiMedia for fixed on HiMediaVideoPlayer_1.2.60_HMD_1110 use on H2000, H200 Pro FW v2.1.7 and share it on Chinese change log.
DMD popup that HiMediaVideoPlayer_1.2.60_HMD_1110 still have PGS position problems then better is to try use HiMediaVideoPlayer_1.2.53_HMD_0226 from mediafire in which are included both fixing for PGS position and subtitles global saving settings.

Thanks for the reply, but it made me a bit more confused, so I ask you to be a bit more accurate.

So HiMediaVideoPlayer_1.2.60_HMD_1110 is the newest version on HiMedia Player, not presented in any OFW's for Q10 / Q5 Pro's previously (I guess)... But from which FW version is 1.2.53_HMD_0226 from?

PGS sub position is the more important to me, as I use them regularly, so in the 1.2.60 version the PGS position still not saved globally for all videos?

And can I install these HiMedia Player versions also on OFW's, like the 2.1.7?

on last version firmware.
Why don't we have an option for Display Setting for 1080p/24Hz, only for 1080i, and only for 50 and 60Hz? Asking for trying to eliminate the black screens at the beginning and and of every movie, when the handshake for 1080p/24Hz occurs. Cheers.

Nice catch maybe OFW for HiMedia H2000 and H200 Pro compiled from scratch on different SDK reversion as they do on 视听机器人(Audiovisual robot) and not all patches/request are apply.

From where can I get HiMediaVideoPlayer_1.2.60_HMD_1110 ? Or is it the default player in OFW 2.1.7? I see only link for HiMediaVideoPlayer_1.2.53_HMD_0226 on your mediafire site.
