With SMB, the Wrapper doesn't work to play .m2ts videos. Works for .mkv amd .mp4 etc., but not for m2ts. Guess it's has something to do with that general network share Wrapper issue. With simply the Media Center also .m2ts plays correctly.

Futeko: can we even count on any new FW anytime?

And another: is it true that in 2.1.4, the 24HZ mode switch option is no longer present in any Settings? It's essential for interlaced videos to keep the GUI setting's at 50 or 60Hz to have the option to turn auto freque switching off from the menu.

Thanks!

Just a question, the firmware for himedia youtube for android tv apk is still at version ''YouTube for Android TV 1.3.11'' and it cannot play you tube live streams on you tube such as aljazeera, france 24, RT news, euronews english live for a long time now.

At reboot this app seems to install itself automatically after uninstalling it.

Can this default you tube app not be updated to the most recent version ''YouTube for Android TV 2.06.06''

YT for ATV only updates automatically if it's installed from PlayStore, but it's only available if you have the ATV FW on the Box.

For OFW you need to download and install from apk (Google it), so you can also have the latest version, but it won't update automatically.

You can't uninstall factory apps from the official firmware only from custom firmware.

Install Aptoide TV version wich is an alternative to the playstore and install youtube from there, it will be updated when new releases are available.

Thanks, I know how to do that.

The problem is there is an old you tube apk stuck in the firmware which is not functioning properly.

Chrome, Skype, kodi, and facebook on the homescreen all seem to update but you tube for android tv is still stuck at that very old version.

Why not just implement the normal youtube in homescreen which can be updated automatically? instead of having an old version of the youtube apk stuck in the device which cant play live streaming videos.

Thanks, that Aptoide TV apk is interesting, but it now needs to install an additional apk to get you tube for android tv apk which would not be what I was looking for.  I just want a you tube embedded in the original firmware which is functioning properly and the latest version.

I am also not interested in custom firmware's as my viewing and browsing needs are for me quite basic.

You can install the "normal" youtube app from the playstore.

The only way the stock youtube TV version is upgraded is with a firmware upgrade, you installing it manually downloading the apk or use aptoide to install it. The app upgrading itself like you for some reason want is not possible.

Nope, don't ask to have the you tube for android tv apk upgrading itself (But it would be nice to have the latest version in a new version of the firmware)

I have uninstalled 1.3.11 (firmware version) and installed manually 2.06.06

Hi, I have installed new OFW 2.1.4. It's a shame: it is still not possible to show images in UHD/4k via Media Player. They did not fix this problem.

Does anybody have a workaround or a specifique app to solve this old problem?

Thanks, Boris

Is auto-resolution and auto-framerate patch still working with the latest OFW? cause i tried and there is no 24p setting anymore and output doesnt switch (direct output)
Set automatically frame rate ON from HimediaVideoPlayer menu. About script will probably work but give a try of AFR assistant if not need play 3D video that is confirmed as working well on 4pda forum.
