hi. why the integrated "update firmware" feature dont works? its more than one year that it dont finds new firmwares, so i thought wasnt new firmwares since than. but now i go on the official forum and there is plenty of them. and is it possible that every time i upgrade, it resets all options??? theres write i can backup kodi settings, but i dont use it. i use only integrated player. but its still a pain in the ass if i have to setup everything from scratch, everytime i update...

You can update via settings menu with the upgrade file in a USB flash drive and you won't lose any settings

if i can upgrade using the easy way, and not loosing settings, why the instructions in this thread shows the hard way???

Doing it via menu increases the chances of having software issues, system errors etc, in the future. With the restore button you make a clean installation, it's like formatting the hard drive and reinstall the OS.

i do not have many of those but i do have just one .avi video, plays fine on 2.1.0.
not sure but i thought this video of mine has been fine all along with previous firmwares.

DVD VOB folders, all can be played with media center.
however, there is no menu although u can access the chapters and playlist.

Hello!

I'm asking regarding if the new 12bit colordepth option is also available in the OFW 2.1.0 or just in the newest CFW? For so long we only had max 8 and 10bit option, but test diagrams shown on the internet assures that it has to be a 12bit option for now. I'm just not sure with what FW is that possible.

I use OFW 21.0 . There is no 12bit colourspace option,  maximum is 10bit.
Am I missing something.

Check what TV is report when is set 422 on Q10/Q5 Pro running OFW/CFW v2.1.0

With LG OLED 65B6 TV and firmware 2.04, I can set 420 @ 10bit

@DMD older FW then v2.1.0 not official support 12Bit, older FW can get 12Bit only with AFR script when 23.976fps video is play.

I can answer (guess) to the first question: Possible reasons are numbered in probability order (and that doesn't mean they may not add up): 1- Never respond to e-mails I send. -> Reason 1: Because they don't care? They don't even have their own support forum, like ALL the other mayor media Box manufactures do.  Reason 2: because they are incompetent to give a proper answer to a technically more in-depth question? Reason 3: They very much likely lack the language competence generally to communicate these properly in English.

Hello everybodu,
after long time, I tried again to install 2.1.0 since I learned here on forum that using .txt instead of .srt subtitles, playpack of subtitles is working without the subtitle bug.
I was tempted about the perceived increase in image quality.
BUT, I encountered a new issue for me.
A full-HD movie (no name included) with the resolution of 1920x800, could not be seen normally like in firmware 2.0.6, with horizontal black strips up and below image, but the wide image was streched on the vertical to fill the screen, si that pesonas and image were distorted, peoplea appearing LONG and thin....
Is there a remedy to this? Did I do anything wrong?
Because I was dissappointed and reverted back to 2.0.6 where everything is smooth and fast.
I hereby attach mediainfo file for the ones with the knowledge in bugs and shortcomings. Thanks guys.

FW v2.0.9/v2.1.0  try set Maintain aspect ratio to Keep ratio in Settings/PlayBack
