Q5/Q10 Pro Official Firmware

But.. I'm not going to get into a long dispute about this. The wait for new firmware has been unacceptable and I'm as disappointed about it as anybody. Within a couple of days we'll have 2.0.4 official and the firmware discussion can move forward at last.

Do Futeko already test the new 2.0.4 firmware?

I for one try to be positive....and to be fair, most of the what admin said earlier is entirely correct.  I was aware of the Kodi limitations before I purchased my Q5 Pro and with the exception of not having an audio offset on it, the Himedia player with the wrapper does me fine. There isn't too much 4K HDR in 2.35:1 at the moment, so if firmware 2.0.4 fixes that then no big deal on that one.  Let's see what 2.0.4 brings!!

Hi Futeko, i understand you already test the 2.0.4 firmware? Do you know if this issues are fixed?
1) Subtitles only downloading in english (or subtitle plugins doesn't seem to work) with the wrapper. Only downloading in english.
2) Subtitle delay function "+/-" longer than 10 seconds (for movies with not many subtitles) with the wrapper.
3) Wrapper failing to play movies when the file name has a number sign '#' (error is  "Video Problem")
4) Shutdown/Poweroff not always work. Sometimes after shutting down with the remote the unit seems to hang, the box lights keep on but it doesn't respond to the remote anymore. I'm almost sure it happends when the himedia wrapper hangs, then the box can't be poweroff.

Also movie start stuttering if you try to adjust subtitle time in wrapper is fixed?

Are you using the last firmware 2.0.3 or have access to 2.0.4? Because 1) is not working at least in 1.0.9 / 1.0.10. I'm still using Android 5 version as the last 7 version available has lot of issues, although I understand i will have to go for it on 2.0.4.

About 2), i ask because sometimes i found movies with very little subtitles and they are offsync by a lot of time. Yes i know i can sync on PC but the idea is to avoid having to copy it to PC and again to media player. The default kodi player for example doesn't have this limitation of +/- 10 and to me doesn't really seem to be a "so difficult" issue to solve.

3) Also seems to be an easy thing to fix.

4) Great, i will wait for the 2.0.4 to test.

About 2 and 3, is there any a backlog or a support email where i can ask Himedia so at least they are notified about this issues?

There are only two possibilities that will happen. 1 The firmware does not come until Sunday. 2 It comes the message that something is not working properly. Then next comes unfortunately only next week or in the course of the month

It is Thursday already. If the official FW does not come as promised. Will Futeko release the beta 2.0.4 they had tested and claimed rock stable for us to see if it does what that claim? It is better than nothing happens.

I had suggested them to release 2.0.4 as a beta, for those willing to give it a try (I do volunteer). I find it hard to believe it could be worse than 2.0.3....

One week later and 2.0.4 beta is proving to be very stable. I stand by my earlier assessment.

Since the beta was released HiMedia have been acting on bug reports from the beta testers. Nothing major as far as I'm aware, just tweaks here and there.

HiMedia told me today that they will 'try' (quote from Himedia) to get official 2.0.4 out tomorrow (Friday 7th July). If it isn't tomorrow it will be early next week, not Saturday/Sunday.
