Hi Guys

Hoping someone can help, I'm on 2.0.1 and Android 7 but even on Android 5.0 I've been having issues in KODI where an audio synch issue develops after a while and I don't mean just while watching video but also with the 'click' sound as I click up and down through the menus seems to be a couple seconds behind the on-screen movement. If I reboot the box it usually fixes the problem for a while, and as I said, this was happening even before I 'upgraded' to Nougat so I can't figure out what's causing KODI to get bogged down and sluggish after a while. I've only installed one or two apps and shutting them down doesn't help.  The irony is that I also have a "cheap Chinese Android Box" (X92) which doesn't have any of these issues, and the setup is almost identical (and that box cost a third of the Q10!).

Has anyone heard of these issues before?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What source for the video?

Hi, the source is a NAS, same as the X92..

The box shouldn't be sluggish at all, and it's not typical behaviour or else it would be mentioned elsewhere on these forums.

2.0.3 is feels much faster through the menus so I advise upgrading to it. For all the negative reaction because it didn't fix a couple of key bugs it's a better all around firmware than 2.0.1.

Can you let me know about whether the default launcher can be changed? It's the biggest reason I left the android 7 roms.

I also had dramas with assessing/seeing tasker settings on 2.0.1 but assume that likely will still be a problem.

The other issues I have with this box are common to both 5.1.1 roms and 7 so not going backwards there.

thanks for the advice. Pardon my ignorance but is it possible to upgrade just the box firmware to 2.0.3 without wiping and reinstalling android, KODI, Apps, etc?

Hi. After loading the 2.0.3 firmware my Q10 Pro freezes after a few minutes. Tried loading this firmware a few times and the same result. It freezes no matter what I'm trying to do. I had no problem with the 2.0.1 firmware. Is there a way to fix this or how do I reinstall the 2.0.1 firmware?

Thanks.

You're correct.  Downgrading firmware is easy.  On the front page of this thread you'll see the link to previous firmware.  Download 2.0.1, put the update.zip  file on a thumb drive and update that way.  There are also instructions in the thread if you didn't install 2.0.3. manually and are looking for how to manually install 2.0.1.

It cannot be changed in 2.0.3.

I read something about changing the security patch level as a workaround for switching to another launcher, but i have not figured out yet how to change this.

Thank you for advise!

With disabled security L1 multiply Launchers working normally at new firmware.
How did you disable the security level? I cannot find any option in version 2.03

Changing security level requires ABD. See here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=711.msg13152#msg13152

Alternatively, pcristi's custom firmware has this fix and launcher can be changed.

Thanks, but it's getting to techy for me now. I'm able to switch to the Apex Launcher via the standard launcher and since i don't reboot very often the Apex launcher stays active. i'll wait for a future fix in a next update i think.
