Q10 Pro Root
« on: March 31, 2016, 02:22:28 PM »
I have just preordered the Q10 Pro and asking myself whether root implementation will be available since release? When not, how long will it take to get this?

Q5/Q10 Pro will be supplied unrooted.

I would expect someone to come up with a rooting method very soon after launch.

We won't consider the warranty invalidated if you root the box.

Its almost never wrong to have root.
But what exactly are you looking for with root?

No, the same version won't work.

Someone will figure out how to get root soon after launch, but I would echo the question, why do you want root? For normal use it's unnecessary.

Functionally you are right as more type of changes are allowed to do. From security point of view it comes with some extra responsibilities. Be aware you are networked!
