Problems with very BIG .iso files...
« on: April 01, 2022, 08:20:40 PM »
All my movies are .iso files. They are 1:1 backup of the original. They all work pretty well except the ones that exceed 70 GB. For example, Dune - Part one (2021) 90,66 GB, Pacific Rim (2013) 80,97 GB. When reading the files I have a lot of hiccups with the sound. Dune is aware of it but support is very very slow. I sent my first message on September 2021 and the last answer I had from them is November 2021. And then nothing. Does anyone else has the same problem?

Have you tried with the Dolby Atmos audio track?

I have tried with other players and I don't have the problem!

Have you tried with the movies I listed?

I normally watch my movies using a Zidoo player. Have seen those movies but most likely using a Zidoo.

A friend always uses his Dune Pro Vision and never complained about this and he is extremely critical.

I have seen some stuttering with DV+Atmos+External subtitles but could not reproduce it when asked by Dune anymore. This was several FW updates ago.

I have pretty good HDMI cables but I didn't try another one! But when I stripped some audio tracks to go below 50 GB it was working ok!

Dune 1984 4K is the real torture test....88 gigs in filesize at around 90mb bitrate. my Real Vision plays it perfect on a USB connected drive with Zeskit HDMI cable.

Dune plays fine here, you didnt fully say how you got your player hooked up, try HDMI video direct to tv, and HDMI audio to your AVR, my avr wont pass the video for some reason ( well too old for new HDR ) and i get a red fuzzy screen ,

Many old(er) AVR won't play DV (just HDR10) and even fairly recent no HDR10+ which requires dual HDMI Output to be used.
