Yes but you also have to install the patch to have access to the playstore

Maybe because he included it in his CFW? or he has to update it for 2.1.7? Just guessing.

I have noticed that in movies with an aspect ratio of 2.35: 1, the upper subtitles pop off the screen a bit and are on the upper black band.
This fact, although apparently insignificant, was not present in the previous firmware.
I noticed that in the Subtitle setting section the Sub Position value is set by default to "36", only by setting this value to "0" will the upper subtitles fit into the screen.

To avoid setting this value on each movie is it possible with some update patch to bring it back to a default value of "0"?
I want to avoid doing a firmware downgrade.
I would like to ask who installed CFW 2.1.6 or version 2.1.7, if they could kindly check what default value the Sub Position value is set.

With firmware 2.1.6 it's 36. With firmware 2.1.7. it's still 36. Previously when you changed a value it accounted for all of the other files as well.

I restored the player of FW 2.1.4 and I found that the problem is not the default value "36" but the value of the pixel corresponding to that value.
In fact, as you can see from the photo the subtitles are in reference 15 of the reference pattern, like the "0" value of the player contained in FW 2.1.6,  they are in the correct position. (See also photos of the previous post)




So the default value "36" in FW 2.1.6 is set with a wrong pixel value.


I have to infinitely thank pcristi for creating the Videoplayer recovery patch from FW 2.1.4

and google apps patch

everything is working fine. However, prime video showing "something went wrong" error while playing the video
