I'm also interested in this. How can then Q5/Q10 hold status of "the best 3D BD (ISO)" player when it can't render subtitles as it should?

Why can't you install Vidon application from Google Play and use that instead? I suppose i doesn't support chipset/player on that level and would require external (Himedia) player anyway. But, can Vidon app at least render full BD menu on this box?

It does subs in 3D (from a 3D ISO) properly, appears just not when watched in 2D mode.

No, I'm pretty sure DarkCinema complained about 2D rendering of subtitles when watching 3D movie in 3D movie mode. He posted about it in another (popular) forum and it does influence my decision whether to buy this box or not.

Can someone please confirm that 3D subtitles are rendered in 3D plane (in front of the screen)? Maybe DarkCinema had an issue with left/right frame first content or some weird parallax setting.
