Himedia QPRO 10 do not start
« on: February 23, 2019, 11:07:35 PM »
After firmware update via button at the back
QPRO 10 does not start anymore. Do not get anything on the TV screen. I accidentally installed QPRO 5 firmware first.

Power down (rear panel switch), wait a minute or more, power load the correct version to a USB memory stick, power up and repeat the flash process (holding down that reset button).

I have done that. But the usb stick starts but the Himedia QPRO 10 on and off button keeps flashing and after a while it stops and nothing happens. Nothing from the Himedia appears on the TV screen.

The oscillating (red-white) power LED may indicate a problem with the power supply. Do you have another 12v supply with the correct coaxial plug you can use?
Are you sure you correctly did the flash procedure, it's easy to make a mistake?

the power supply works. What is the exact flash procedure?

It may seem like it's working, but take a read here first;
http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=3280.0

1. Extract update.zip (using an unzip program like 7zip, winzip etc) from the downloaded zip archive to the root of a FAT32 formatted USB pen drive. (the USB pen drive should contain a single file called 'update.zip'). Note, there is no need to rename anything!
2. Insert the USB pen drive into any USB port of Q10 Pro.
3. With Q10 Pro turned off, use a paper clip or pen to press and hold the the pinhole UPGRADE button on the back of Q10 Pro (next to the power port).
4. While keeping the UPGRADE button pressed, turn on the Q10 Pro.
5. Q10 Pro will showthe Android 7 coloured circle logo.
6. When you see the circle logo you can release the restore button.
7. A progress bar will indicate update progress. Do not turn box off or use the box/remote during update!
8. When update is complete the box will automatically reboot.
9. First boot will take 3-5 minutes. The box will reboot into new firmware. Allow boot to complete.

Ok, install version 2.0.1 from here:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/n0dbl6vgut3h7gy/Q10_PRO_FIRMWARE._ANDROID_7_TO_ANDROID_7._FUTEKO._HMD-2.0.1_2017-01-10.164949._Q10_PRO_MUST_ALREADY_BE_RUNNING_ANDROID_7_TO_INSTALL_THIS_FIRMWARE.zip

If it boots install 2.0.3, next 2.0.4 and finally 2.1.1.
I tried with 2.03 but I do not see an android logo on my TV screen. The on and off button will continue to flash for a while and the usb stick will also flash. After a while nothing happens and the Himedia Qpro10 just stays on. I installed the update of the QPRO5 2.1.1 by accident the very first time. Everything seemed to work until I turned the Himedia box off and on again and it seems that I can not update it anymore

Are you using the same USB Stick in the same USB port as when you upgraded with the wrong firmware?
