please note if you use XBMC/KODI to play files from SMB network, the SMB network should have no User ID and Password.

No I'm playing the files just from a SATA or USB hard drive.

The loading circle is a part of Himedia player, it can't be removed.

The circle is useful because it gives an indication that the file is being loaded, however I think it could be smaller and more out of the way. Maybe a small (4x4 pixel - very small) slowly blinking square in bottom right corner?

I have mentioned this to Himedia.

Yes a smaller icon would be good or the option to deactivate it if you don't need it. I know it is important but there are a lot of players out there where you can deactivate such information icons, especially for playlist use. For example we use a VLC player in our company on exhibitions for the videos in the background. It would be nice just to take a HiMedia device and connect it to the TV. But this loading icon looks not professional then, so we use VLC or Media Portal. It's still great hardware and an awesome player.

Thank you very much for mentioning that to Himedia!

That's not true, my SMB network is password protected and works from kodi, either in my synology nas or my mi w10 computer

Looun means Kodi with wrapper installed.

I think you mean Kodi without wrapper.

Hi, thanks, that's why we need 24p(auto frame)included in firmware and forget wrapper, let's hope Himedia found the way as other do!
Good luck
