Kodi in Q5 can't read my external HD DIR

Hi,

Kodi in my Q5 can't seem to read my external HD's DIR. When I select the HD in Kodi it says LOST:DIR.
So far I can only playback movies from my HD by using the Media Center.

I appreciate any help.

I have a similar issue.  Difference being I can see and use the external hard drive (connected via SATA connector) for about an hour, after which it is no longer accessible.  Have to power down the Q5, then turn power back on.  That will allow me to use the drive again for about an hour.
I am using a 1.5tb 3.5 inch hard drive, connected using the Q5 included SATA cable and port.

How is the drive attached (USB / SATA)?

What path are you using to access it in Kodi?

It sound like you might not be locating the drive correctly in Kodi. From the Kodi browse screen go 'root filesystem' - mnt - sdb - sbd1

I think this is quite different to the first poster's problem.

Does this happen regardless of whether the HDD is being used? It sound like the drive might be auto shutting down if it happens when the drive is connected but not being used. It's the first I've heard of this so not sure of a solution. Skype is down globally right now so I can't ask Himedia. Will do so tomorrow.
