Plus could anyone know of a fix for Kitkat launcher defaulting to a different wallpeper other than the one previously set when the device is rebooted?

Presuming you mean Q5 4K3D and no Q5 Pro, that file won't play because it's 10bit colour depth (10bit not supported by Q5 4K3D), and it's L6.1@Main profile (again not supported by Q5 4K3D).
