wrapper crashing

I have set my video to play using himedia wrapper in kodi. Files from my nas stream perfectly but the covenant addon seems to crash wrapper when a source is played

You should use Kodi internal player for streamings

Have the same issue on Kodi 17.5.1. Any idea when and if wrapper could be used again?
