Q5 quad core UPnP not playing.
« on: August 22, 2015, 01:19:14 PM »
I purchased the Q5 quad core this week it's running perfectly when using external storage devices with USB. My only problem is with the UPnP setup. My media files are located on a Windows 7 machine which is always on. I've setup file sharing for all my media folders with user specific access for read/write and home group for read. I can access access all the directories through the Q5 perfectly fine and it even displays the the thumbnails. However; when I choose to play the files the Himedia Wrapper video player loading icon just keeps spinning and nothing happens. The Q5 is connected via Wlan and is running the latest factory firmware and included Kodi version. I must be missing something, sadly the included manual is lacking specific information of what type of UPnP setup it requires to fully function,  it's also my first time using Kodi.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance  :)

Nevermind, I figured it out. Just had to change to the default Kodi player instead of the Himedia player and it worked. My bad. Trial and error ftw.
