Q10 Pro deleting files from the Himedia player
« on: September 12, 2017, 06:41:59 PM »
I like to play videos with the Himedia Media Center.
When i press "menu" on the remote, I just get 3 options to sort the files by name, dates...
How can I get the "operation menu"?
Is it in a higher media player version?

I am running  Android 5.1 with the 1.1.0 custom firmware.
Should I go for Android 7 and the 2.0.4 firmware?

You need to use a file manager app to delete files.

A basic one is pre-installed, or you can install ES File Explorer and many others free from Play Store.

Thanks for your reply.
It is a shame that the media player does not have this feature.
My experience with Kodi isn't great (lot of slowdowns, difficulties with sound decoding, issue with the library...).
I have no such issues with the simple media player.

Is it the same media player with android 7 and 2.0.4 firmware?

I also have es file manager, but i have to remember the videos i watched, changing app, browsing...

The media browser part of the media center app is the same in Android 7. The actual media player (interface when playing videos) is new.

If you have a home network connected to your Q10, you can also delete, move, copy, rename files etc. on the Q10 from a networked PC  :)
