Kodi startup
« on: July 23, 2017, 11:24:32 AM »
Does anyone have problems with starting Kodi. When I manually start the first time I get a message with wait or close. If I do nothing, wait for the highlight to appear on the message and click wait, most times it works.  some times after two attempts I have to click close and if that does not work I have to force close in android app setting menu. I have had this problem with the original firmware 2.0.3 which was very unstable then downgraded to 2.0.1 (kodi very unstable) and now on 2.0.3 shitty custom.  When I restart Kodi it works OK, apart from this problem, my Q10  is the most stable has been and can live with it unless it is something simple, its just annoying.

Do you have a very large media library or a lot of add-ons installed?

You could try installing 2.0.4. It's better than 2.0.3 + pcristi repack.

I think you mean your Rii i25? We don't have one to test so that's why you get no reply.

The Rii MX3-M we bundle with HiMedia Q5/Q10 pro works well.

Ditto for both these problems. My media library is about 198 movies + about the same TV shows.

My Rii MX3 works intermittently (if at all) - the red light flashes indefinitely even after taking batteries out and reinserting (and also reinserting USB receiver). It's a shame as it's a good controller when it works.

Apart from this and an issue where the media player stops playing for no reason at times, the new firmware (pcristi 2.04) seems ok.

No I have a very small library and only a reasonable amount of add-ons. I will try the new firmware 2.0.4 when I have the time.
Thanks.
