Please help a newbie setup transmission

Hi. I installed transmission from  Kodi, but I could not make it run.  It gives a message "Transmission Error. Could not connect to Transmission. Open settings dialog?" What  am I missing? How do I make this work?

I installed uTorrent from Kodi, but also got an error message "uTorrent Error! Fail to connect to daemon. Are you change settings now?"
again, is there a solution?

In Chrome I can scroll up and down with remote up/down buttons. Normal remote, not mouse mode. I am using the yet-to-be released 2.0.4 firmware (public late this week) but I don't think this has changed anything in this regard.

The uTorrent app (Android app - not Kodi add-on) works fine. I have no idea about the Kodi add-on.

Have exactly the same problem. Which raised on other thread  "disappointed with Q10 pro".  I thought its installation of the embedded  chrome, everthing else backIlit / orientated ok, but nothing to support this, still believe it though. Replies from members were to purchase another remote , gave an inexpensive suggestion, but Futeko advised to wait until this fw upgrade, which is what I've done.  I'm running on 2.0.0 so it seems  an inherant problem, which hope this fw fixes or custom firmware does. My remote also doesn't work on Kryton version SPMC, unable to do anything , had to uninstall completely. Not tried on Jarvis yet as waiting to see.

Got another APP browser from playstore, remote worked fine, but unable to do anthing as ads, ads ,ads, so many f''@ads uninstalled it, and am using  tablet to browse/ download and mydrive to transfer  to box,etc whilst awaiting Fw.

Anyone know or recommend a good brower no ads, even to purchase should fw fail ? which from reply above  seems it will, but hoping the custom fw is where fix is.

I can only repeat what I said in the earlier reply, the remote up and down buttons work as expected in Chrome on firmware 2.0.4.

For example, I can navigate to this forum and scroll up and down with no extra settings.

So I don't understand the problem.

In general though, if you do want to use Q5/Q10 Pro for a lot of web browsing then an airmouse makes it much easier.

If you install the custom fw 2.0.4 the remote may now work with chrome.

Mine now does, which conf irms others posts that its not the reote but due to the apps mainly being for phones, albeit why himedia would load a non functional app is beyond me.

With regular official 2.0.4 you can scroll up and down using remote in Chrome.
