Wrapper not working on himedia q10 pro chinese firmware model

Hi, I've uninstalled kodi 16.1 and I think at the same time it deleted the settings for the wrapper. I no longer have the playercorefactory.xml file used for the wrapper. I've tried fresh installing kodi 17.3 and copying a playercorefactory.xml file from this forum and pasting it in the /data/files/kodi/userdata folder...I had to create the kodi folder and userdata folder. so when I go to play a video nothing happens it just stops nothing plays..its selected as wrapper for default...

now i'm wondering if anyone has a working playercorefactory.xml file for the wrapper to be used in kodi 17.3 and where I should be pasting it.

or just perhaps...is it possible I factory reload the box to default and it installs kodi 16.1 again and will the wrapper be set up once again..as it was when first taken out of box...would this be easier ?? would it work ? but I would still need to upgrade to kodi 17.3 and I would upgrade by using my usb stick with the kodi 17.3 apk as I probably would not be able to update using the playstore..,any other ideas..??

lastly perhaps if maybe someone can share a wrapper.apk file for this unit that will work..I've tried other wrapper.apk files in this forum and when I go to install it it does not install so I can't re setup the wrapper..

ya that did not work..as soon as it tries to play it just quits...see the numbers that its starting and just blinks and stops...


would u know where I can get the firmware for this model ?? maybe I need to reload the firmware.

I have the latest Chinese firmware now and wrapper...but its not installing the playercorefactory file......I don't get that option to install it in kodi..I've tried installing the wrapper etc etc but nothing..

I have never seen the Chinese firmware running, so can't offer support here.

If it was the same as the European firmware (and I know it isn't - it's very different) then instructions are in the FAQ thread.
