I have an Rii i25 airmouse (V02) used with a Q10 with Firmware 2.0.3 (latest pcristi version); Android 7.0 and Kodi 17.2RC (nightly), but I'm not experiencing the same problems as you. Why do you need a cursor when viewing video anyway??? I always switch mine off. Mine works with no problems on all apps except Kodi

.
With Kodi there is a mismatch with the "Return" key. This is most obvious when using Kodi's File Manager.
Using the original controller I can click "OK" to go through the directories, such as: Himedia > Music> Elton John > Love Songs
I can then click "Return" to go back through: Love Songs > Elton John > Music > Himedia > File Manager icon
But using the Rii i25, clicking the "Return" key takes me straight back to the File Manager icon in one press! So make sure that "Show Parent Folder Items" is ticked (for the ".." option) or you won't be able to move around directories!
This also means that I can't stop a video playing by clicking the "Return" key, as it just has no effect. So I've had to program one of the orange keys to match the original function.
So far I've purchased THREE Rii controllers:
(1) The Rii i6 is unusable as the keys are far too small and too close together for an adult to use easily. Perhaps a young child with very small fingers might be able to use it

?
(2) The Rii i8+ worked for a few months and then failed, producing random problems

.
(3) The Rii i25 is the best of a bad bunch. Apart from the compatibility problems it does work. It has nice curved corners so the remote does not painfully dig into your hand like the controller which came with the box does.
