Himedia Video processing
« on: May 28, 2015, 10:27:20 AM »
Hi, Just a quick question about the Video Processing function in the settings. I don't have the tools to fully test but curently have this switched off, letting my Onkyo amp do the upscaling. Does anyone have an opinion about the effectiveness of the Himedia upscaling engine? Is it any good or should picture as well as sound be bitstreamed untouched to the amp for processing? I only ask because Himedia seem to be looking to make a ggreat piece of kit, but can it compare with VX processing on Popcorn Hour, or HQV of Onkyo or Qdeo with Oppo? Thanks!
