What is f/w use on your box and YouTube link for clip to do testing?
Kodi I know is 720p, I don't own NEO X8-H Plus, so is paying on 1080p like HiMedia Q10/Q5Pro.

Hello pcisti

I use f/w  2.0.0-FUTEKO-EN. HMD-2.0.0 2016-11-17.181855

For testing is simple i just installed the YouTube app through the playstore and play any clip longer then 2 min.
for expl. : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKSRyLdjsPA

after a couple of sec. the playback waits for 1 or 2 sec and the sound goes on, and then the movie is fully out of sync.

A even beter test is :

- open kodi
- install the addon dumpert (offical support from kodi no illigal software or something)
- start dumpert and after playing 4 or 5 clips the whole kodi freezes and you have to kill it or it just died back to the main screen.

This works perfect on a Raspb. 2 or 3 and the minix player even my neighbor who got a cheap mede8r has no problems with this.

Why have you installed YT app from the playstore? The stock YT app that comes with the fw doesn't work eighter?!

Having played a lot of youtube videos on Q10 Pro (I have kids - 'twentytrucks' - it's worth checking out - 100 times per day) I don't see this problem.

It's also never been mentioned on this forum before.

I can play the video you link to without problems (tried in regular Youtube app and Android TV Youtube app).

The one Youtube problem that does exist with firmware 2.0.0 is that the Kodi Youtube addon goes jerky after a few minutes. This is a problem with the addon and Android 7. Are you sure the Youtube Android app has a problem and not just the Youtube Kodi add-on?

If you need the Youtube Kodi addon to work (and it's required for the other addon you mention) then you'll need to downgrade firmware to Android 5.1. This won't have much impact (uses same launcher as 2.0.0 - looks very similar) except make apps more compatible. Remember to install the downgrade firmware first. I have installed 1.09 with kernel 5.1 and still the same problems.

- Kodi freezes playing YouTube
- Kodi --> Dumpert (this is a must for me) is still freezing

- Dumpert APP works now
- YouTube APP works now

How can i fix the Kodi to play YouTube  / dumpert streams, i have try to set Quality to low / medium / high but all they same.
It starts playing the 1st and 2nd clip fine, then the 3th stops 5 a 10 sec. before a movie has ended then when playing a next movie the whole kodi freezes
I have to press the home button to return to the main screen and start the swipe thing to get kodi running again.
Today i went to a frend who has the same Q10 player and has the exact same problem :(

I also advise contacting your retailer. It's not a problem I'm familiar with.

p.s. I changed the retailer's name. No links to other retailers on this forum.

I changed the link to the retailer on purpose. No links to other retailers on the forum.

The retailer you bought from has a legal obligation to deal with the problem and not just refer you to the manufacturer. Your contract is with them not HiMedia.

Yes I can play Youtube movies from Kodi. With Android 5.1 flawlessly and with Android 7 firmware jerkily after a time (known bug with Android 7 and Kodi Youtube addon - as explained in previous post).

This is why you aren't getting more support here. Kodi + Youtube addon works for other users.
