Netflix and Mouse
« on: September 23, 2016, 04:38:00 PM »
Hi,

New to this forum and Himedia.

My question is there a way to load a different version or setup Netflix to not need to use the mouse to maneuver or choose the file to play? The Nvidia Shield box has this and it would make it simpler for my young kids to maneuver around in Netflix with the arrow buttons on my Logitech remote then try to use the mouse to control everything.

Thanks

At the moment it's not possible.

Netflix would have to add support for remotes to their Android app.

Hi,

Is the Nvidia box not Android? I can use my remote to navigate on Netflix without having to use the mouse button.

Thanks

On Nvidia Shield there is the TV version of Netflix, which is only available in the US. I tried installing it manually, but it did not work. I do have the TV app on my LG smart TV (pre-Web-OS) and it looks like the TV Android app.

thmihai20,

Thanks for the reply. That is a good option but will not work in my situation as the issue is for ease of use for my kids.

Thanks
