I have updated to the latest OTA firmware and now find the TV Mode button on the remote doesn't show or do anything, is this a bug with this latest firmware or not?

It only does something for me when I'm at the homescreen.
It doesn't work in Kodi anymore.

Watched 2 3D ISO's all the way yesterday and noticed microstutters about half a dozen times in each. While they seem more subtle than w/previous f/w's as some have reported, there's still noticeable even when trying to enjoy the movie & not really keeping at eye out for them.

The other unaddressed issue than annoys me is the slim rough left edge in most movies. Most may not notice this as TV's usually have at least 2-3% overscan and edges are hidden, but with front projectors, any edge artifacts are noticeable.

Bluray 3D MVC was  fine with 1.06 , autoswitch worked to 23,976fps, no stuttering
But now 1.07 makes 24.000 out of 23.976 fps

Moving back to FW 1.0.6 with the pcristi  Chinese 1.07 update script and auto frame rate added. That was the best version for me thus far.

Waiting for a quick bug fix release.

I agree with Nice Monkey 1.06 with add ons best version for me, I thought the picture was slightly better,and I like the ability to see the frame rate when playing

No, HMD-1.0.7 2016-08-10.190825 is just report in OTA, for testing new recovery introduce with HMD-1.0.7 2016-08-10.190824, scope is to collect errors if exist on preparation of next FW update.

Well....if you download on your computer, you get version .....24.
But if you "check for update online" on your HiMedia, is says there is a ........25 version available.
After installing that .....25 online, it shows up as .....24 again.
So there is a little mix up, but I think they are both the same version.

Extra problems using FW 1.0.7 playing DVD:
- The External Subtitles are not found anymore (reported before)
- Playback has PQ problems probably due to de-interlacing not working at 25 Hz / 30 Hz display rate used now instead of 50 Hz /60Hz as should be.
- Audio off-set with some DVD's all playing well using KODI (without the wrapper).

Besides the above reported errors, there are still annoying typos in HiMedia Player. E.g. "exnternal" instead of "external" or "Poliah" instead of "Polish". C'mon, what the heck is "Poliah" ;-)

It is only 3D content where 23.976 does not output correctly in firmware 1.0.7. 3D is output at 24Hz so you will get the occasional stutter. HiMedia are aware of this and will fix it.

They are exactly the same firmware.

HiMedia have been told by us previously to number OTA updates one digit lower so customers who've manually updated don't get nagged to reinstall identical firmware. 

If you've install 1.0.7 manually the 1.0.7 OTA update can safely be ignored.

The way the language strings are integrated into the app makes this harder to change than you think, but I'll push Himedia to sort it for next firmware.  'exnternal' is particularly annoying.
