I can't explain why this doesn't work for the couple of people on this thread.

There are now a fairly large number of Q10 Pros with customers and we are not getting more general feedback about this, so it's only a problem for a small % of people. It 100% works for us in testing, we can't replicate the problem. HD-Audio passthrough is flawless. We have a Denon AVR1610 and a Denon AVRX520BT.

We're need more data / user reports. I had hoped that if more people did post on this thread then they would have similar setups and the problem could be narrowed down to a particular amp or brand of amp, but the two cases so far are from a Denon and Onkyo.

In general, please check HDMI cables and amp/TV setup. It's always possible that it's cable or setup related.

Just to add on, I did try to change few HDMI cables for my testing but still no luck.

Just in case someone can use this info.

SYNOLOGY DSVIDEO
=================
If you experience audio problem like DTS can be played back perfectly but DD is played back as PCM audio.
Then ACTIVATE "Dolby Digital pass through" in DSVIDEO settings.

I almost had written a bug report myself...saw that setting last second  ::)

WORKS fantastic now and MILES faster than a S82b Box (S802 Chipset).

Hello Futeko,

My setting is ok just change my Old Q10 4K to Q10 Pro and before everything ok with HD Audio, all od them and now nothing instead of Dolby ac3 5.1 and DTS core only but no sound anymore for DTS-HD, True-HD or Atmos sound ??? very bad
I have a panasonic Plasma Viera VT50 and an Receiver Yamaha YSP-2200. No problem as well with the Q10 4K but not with the new one Q10 Pro. ???

update: issue fixed when change setting HDMI output to Auto and HBR output to Auto.
When I use HDMI Auto, my Q10 Pro switches to 50Hz, and then I have constant stuttering.
So for example for me it is not possible to use HDMI Auto.

Anyone having HD-Audio problems please post details of your setup in this thread: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=793.0

Posting setup details might establish a pattern and shed some light on the problem.
