Programming Q5/Q10 Pro remote.
« on: April 27, 2016, 12:27:32 PM »
HiMedia Q5/Q10 Pro remote has four buttons that can be programmed to control your TV/amp.

  • Hold down the SET button on the Himedia remote until the red LED stays brightly lit.
  • Press the key on the Himedia remote that you want to program. The red LED should blink steadily.
  • Hold the original remote you want to learn from very close (1cm gap is perfect) and point it at the the IR sensor of the Himedia remote.
  • Press the button on the original remote that you want to learn. The Himedia remote red LED should stay on for a second then briefly blick fast.
  • Press SET on Himedia remote to exit learning mode.
  • Test the button you've programmed on the Himedia remote.

The remote was able to learn the "Power" button of my TV, but failed to learn any other buttons.

The TV model is Samsung 55JU7000 (equivalent to JU7100 in other countries). Any help please?

It works with a Samsung TV here. Try it again, the learning can be a bit temperamental.

Works fine with my Philips TV and Onkyo AMP.

Be aware we are talking only about the four buttons in the TV-field (number five is just used to SET).
