himedia box like lot of player NOT need plex server , all media format h.264,h.265  are supported.

himedia player need only a SMB/samba net shared folder.

You can use plex client with external player himdiavideooplayer ,but there are plex server limmitaion : no external subtitle, no ISO file ecc..
Kodi it's best option form jukebox.

Plex server it's good for smart tv only support DLNA and few video format.

Why do you need plex server?

You can use Plex and Kodi... no need to choose one.

ok. so i use kodi for the jukebox on himedia.
And, if i want to watch films from my computer, by wifi, i can also use plex and read them on my q10.
I will try when the q10 will be on sell, and i will tell you if it works.
It will be great!!!!
Thanks a lot and sorry about my english.lol
