Downloader error

I have installed the Downloader app by AFTVnews on my HiMedia Q10 Pro. When I enter a URL or anything else on the Home screen. I get the following message

'An unknown error has occurred. Check your URL and connection.'

Does any one know how to correct this issue?

Running version HMD-2.1.4 2019-05-31
