Shares name over Samba
« on: July 28, 2023, 11:36:22 AM »
On my Zidoo 1000 pro any attached storage (USB/SATA/Inner SATA) are show up on the network as:
Zidoo IP Adress/Share/Volume serial number of storage
i.e. something like:
192.168.10.4/Share/AA9A9E04A9DCCE7
I have total 10 volumes attached and it is a bit of hell to remember where and what...
Of course in Zidoo file manager itself they are shown by volume names. Or Volume serial + Volume name in other file managers (image attached)
I wonder if it is possible to change net share look  to:
Zidoo IP Adress/Share/Volume name
Something like
192.168.10.4/Share/Mix_1
etc?
I guesss it is not matter of samba itself but rather storage mounting procedure in Android? Is there any possibility to change above? My device is rooted so I can change any config manualy in worst case
Also all volume names are created while formating HDD on PC.
