Transfer Speeds Dropped with new modem and router
« on: August 20, 2022, 12:14:00 AM »
Hello, I recently upgraded my internet speed and had to get new modem and router from my ISP.  I was getting about 25 MB/s transfer speed before. Now I am lucky to hit 6.  I didn't change anything and I am using Wired connection.

I did try doing the Samba patch and it seemed to install but the speed did not change.  Running Windows 10.

So frustrated.  Nothing seems to work right.  Takes hours to transfer what used to take minutes.  No clue why this is happening.

1. try using different cable
2. Do a ping to your himedia and see if pings are normal.
3. Check in router setting if DNS and lan ip settings are correct.
4. Check in router/modem that there isnt specific option to turn on full speed for specific lan connections.
5. Try connecting to pc and try to do a transfer and check.
