Z10 Random reboots
« on: January 01, 2020, 12:40:48 PM »
Hi. After installing latest firmware 2.2.96 for my Z10 I've been experiencing some random reboots when watching movies over SMB, will it be fixed in the next release?

You are better off asking questions like this on the Zidoo forum. We are just a reseller and have no input into firmware.

I haven't seen any random reboots from 2.2.96 myself and we have no other customer reports of it. For the box to actually reboot itself would usually indicate a hardware type problem rather than software, and the most likely cause would be, in my opinion, overheating. Where is the box located? It should have airspace around it, particularly at the back where the fan exit is.

The box is located on the shelf without any close encounters with other devices, it has very good airspace around it.
