Google Play Movies App: Error 31.

Hello,

I have the latest firmware on my H8 and all the apps are up to date from the Play store. I recently installed Google Play Movies app to watch the movies which I have previously bought. The movies purchased are in HD.

The movies play fine on my Nexus phone and Xperia tablet. The H8 is unable to play the movies. When I select the movie, it displays Error 31 on the screen.

I searched the internet for Error 31. The response from Google Play Support for other users experiencing the same issue on other devices is "If rebooting doesn't resolve the issue, your device is incompatible at this time. You should still be able to play it back on any other compatible device or through a browser on a computer at play.google.com/movies."

I have rebooted my H8.

Has anyone managed to resolve this issue? Please give detailed instructions.

@futeko: If the H8 is incompatible with Google Play Movies app, is there a plan to fix this in a future firmware update?

H8 appears to be incompatible with Google Play movies/TV.

I have informed Himedia and they will investigate. There's no big reason why it isn't working so it should get fixed.
