Custom Kodi 15 with native 7.1 HD Audio,Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD

Hello. I saw the H8 has a new custom Kodi with the HD codecs installed (direct play)

The wrapper is hack and it doesn't allow me to use XMBC/Kodi with its default DVD Player.

Are people working in a custom KODI which will allow to select the HD codecs so we can play Dolby TrueHD files directly from Kodi?

I don't expect there to be Kodi with native 7.1 HD-Audio for Q5/Q10/M3. The wrapper works well and the format support provided by it is better than for H8 Kodi (notably 3D).

The Q5 is better than H8 is a couple of respects, the main one being picture quality. It's also got Gigabit ethernet and S/PDIF audio outputs.

1) Can you add Zoom to the native app?
Zoom functionality is second to none in Kodi.

2) Do you have pictures of how the H8 looks like with native Kodi?

3) Will the wrapper also work with H8?

4) Atmos works with H8/modified Kodi?

I just bought the Zidoo X6 Pro as it has
1) Android 5.1
2) Bluetooth 4.0
3) WiFi 5Ghz

I LOVE HiMedia and I was wondering which one is your 'latest box' at the moment.

From what I understand Q5 has been around for around 8 months.

Which is your latest/greatest box that I should buy.

I want a device that will get a lot of firmware updates, your 'baby', the one device that will receive love/support and will not be forgotten.

I don't feel the Q5 without the ability to zoom in/out is a device that I see will be taken care of.

Do you have any devices that are your flagship or are you working on a new device?

Neither Zidoo X6 or Himedia H8 have proper 3D support in native Kodi. It's SBS 3D.

The only products that support proper framepacked MVC 3D in Kodi are Himedia Q5/Q10/M3. All via wrapper.

1. I will pass the request onto Himedia.
2. It looks exactly like Q5/Q10 Kodi and exactly like all other vanilla Kodi. Confluence skin, menu bar. It can then be customised as you want using skins and add-ons.
3. No. Different hardware.
4. No, not yet. It should do after future update.

That Kodi source you link to is for RK3368 chipset. It won't run on other hardware. It's very similar to Himedia H8 Kodi, but it would not work on Q5/Q10.

In general, we think Himedia H8 is better than Zidoo X6 because hardware quality is much better. H8 has larger aluminium casing vs Zidoo with tiny plastic casing. There are many reviews of Zidoo on forums. etc where overheating and CPU throttling are reported. This may also hinder hardware longevity. Himedia also have a record of steady updates to all their products. In 12 months time I am sure H8 will still be supported, Zidoo X6 who knows?

Okay I have Apple Watch controlling my KODI.
Kodi is popular, famous, and I can do nice things like zoom in, and today I found out I can even control it with my watch.

Please please please can you add custom Kodi to Q5.

Or, if you recommend me to do so, I can return the HiMedia Q5 and buy a HiMedia H8.

It seems to me like HiMedia H8 is the best device from HiMedia.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
