Google account and password issues with fw 2.0.4
« on: August 11, 2017, 04:13:27 PM »
Hello!

This has been reported by a member on another Forum: with 2.0.4 Official fw, there's no working option to change the password for an exiting Google account, nor to add other additional accounts. Even the method described here doesn't work.: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1934.msg16231#msg16231  All is there for option is to delete an account.

Does anybody know a solution for this, or this can be just considered as a new bug with this firmware?!

Thanks for the reply!

- working option to change the password --> Never see it on Android OS, just when is change from Browser then Android ask for new password.
- add additional account working for me using Add account/Google

Sorry, but I can't decode your sentences. What does "change from Browser" mean?! And can you give the full path to this  "Add account/Google" setting?! Could you be more specific and a bit more better wording, please?!

Thanks! :)

I confirmed the FIRMWARE BUG on 2.04
I've cancel account and can't add a new, click on "GOOGLE" and next page +add account ... page retrun on IMAP, POP GOOGLE page!!!

I still wait because, if Titanium does'nt work, i don't have time to waste on update custom firmware from scratch and reinstall and personalize all apps and service on my HIMEDIA.... simply don't use GOOGLE PALY, it's some!!!

THX

That's exactly what I've meant to report here. On 2.0.4 fw official the add account option just doesn't seam to work. (I'm unable to try it myself, as I still run on 1.0.9, but that's what have been reported by an other member on a local Forum.)

For those with further intention to help: Tho' this could be an user error as well, but please post advice and solutions juts after you have tried it on this same fw, and if you can confirm 100%, that it works! Thank you!

I can confirm this bug and have informed HiMedia of it this morning.

At the moment I can't see a workaround beyond firmware reinstall.
